Import / Export of Intent Trainer Records

Description

You can import and export intent trainer records in order to e.g. move intent trainer records from one environment to another or to backup your records before deleting them

Exporting Intent Trainer Records

To start exporting your intent trainer records, click on the download icon in the intent trainer in the top right corner. After clicking this button, you will be prompted to select certain options for the export:

Option

Description

Include understood inputs

This is per default set to false. If you check the checkbox, then all utterances that were understood (e.g. because an intent was found) will be included in the export

Include reviewed inputs

This is per default set to false. If you check the checkbox, then all utterances that were already reviewed will be included in the export. If you are exporting to another environment to process the utterances there, you might not wish to include these

Include inputs created since

Only records newer than the selected date will be included in the export. You can remove the date entirely to export all of your records. This can e.g. be useful if you know that you exported your records five days ago, and only want to export records that have updated since then. It can also be useful to filter out very old records that might not be relevant in your current Flow architecture

After selecting your desired options, click on Export to start the export process. After a few seconds you should get the exported package downloaded. Note that if you refresh your browser after starting the export, you will not get the package.

Importing Intent Trainer Records

To start importing your intent trainer records, click on the upload icon in the intent trainer in the top right corner. After clicking this button, you will be prompted to select an import strategy for handling merge conflicts. Merge conflicts for records are determined based on the text: If a record with the same text is already in the system, then you have a conflict.

Strategy

Description

Keep existing Records

This option will keep the existing records in case of a conflict. This means that only records that do not exist on the system where you import will be imported.

Merge with existing Records

This option will merge the existing records with the records that are being imported. This will mean that the sentence count of the records will be summed, and the highest timestamp for the record will be chosen

Overwrite existing Records

This option will overwrite the existing records with the records being imported, meaning that e.g. the sentenceCount of the records being imported will be used

After selecting your importing strategy, click on the Upload button to start the importing process. This process will run in the background and can take a while. You can freely navigate away from the intent trainer or even close the browser window - the import will still continue. When the import is done, you will get a green success notification, and you will be able to see the new records
